EGRs Blanked.

We'll I just blanked my EGR valves off using the 2 blanking plate method. (£5 on eBay) It only took about 45 minutes. Although there was not a problem showing on dash I can already feel things are running better and showing 2 mpg more around town. So today is a good day and I never have to worry about EGRs again Very Happy Very Happy

I had Disco_Mikey blank the EGR valves on mine a few weeks back and I can feel a real difference to the car. I had no faults showing either. Blanking seems to have cut out that few seconds hesitation I used to get between slowing down and then entering traffic at a roundabout. A job well worth doing in my opinion. Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

The BAS fix has been in the pipeline for quite a while now. Is he actually about to release it or is it "coming soon"?

I'm hoping it's imminent because I want to fit it to my TDV8 if at all possible. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

TDV8 is his next project, IIRC Thumbs Up

If you noticed a difference after blanking your EGR's, then you already had an EGR issue.
Blanking does not improve performance, it only restores the performance the car had lost Thumbs Up

I reckon my EGRs are causing a problem - the motor can be a bit lethargic at times. I also want to get a mega flush done on my gearbox but it looks like I'll need to travel to Bristol to get it done. Can't find anywhere near to Oxford/Banbury/Northampton that does it - a number of places mention it but actually they just do a double flush. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

My EGRs must of been starting to pack up. It did feel a little lazy at times. But seems better now!

Its right on the changeover. Will need to check with your chassis number.

If it is a 6A, then it will work. If it is a 7A, then it may not work.
