United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
Moving over to a Discovery

We'll after 2 and a half years of ownership of a 2010 TDV8, we are taking delivery of a new Discovery in April.
In anticipation, we have sold our RRS direct to an independant dealer but we are both sad to see it go as it's been and still is a superb car.

Because of our impending move up to the Lakes, we now need those occasional 7 seats and the ability to carry our canoe on the roof.

In the next couple of weeks I may have a couple of bits to sell (boot mat/cargo nets etc) and will post them in the real vent forum in due course.

Regards

Good luck with the new disco.

I was torn between the sport and the disco for ages but went for the sport, now some days I wish I'd gone for a discovery. Feel so much more practical, the boots such a disappointment on the sport. Although the discovery didn't feel as sporty but now driving everyday I could of handled the discovery.

Enjoy the Disco Bow down

I have been viewing them with envy since the D4 was launched (skipped the D3 after my D2's) but SWMBO prefers the RRS - I miss the boot though Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

I can honestly say that it's been the best car that we have owned and we are sad that it's going. It's only because we need a bigger boot and the option of the 7 seats.
All in all a great car and it has never let us down. Thumbs Up

We had a new Disco3 back in 2006 and enjoyed that so hopefully the new one will be as good if not better.

Good call...you will like the new discovery im sure.

The only thing I miss from the sport is being able to chuck it round corners - which the discovery is not so good at Shocked ...other than that (ignoring the TV I didn't spec), the new disco is very cool and im pleased I didn't go for the new sport...on so many levels

maybe in a few car changes ill be back to a sport...maybe not...good choice though Mike
