Depends.......I was lucky, mine took 4 days to put onto retention and get the docs back.
It then took 5 days about a month later to assign to my new car.

I think trying to transfer from car to car can take longer and there seems to be a backlog since they switched it all to Swansea.  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Just got my private number back on my new vehicle v5 , 10 days, thought that was good ,compared to some.

Got my V5 back in 5 days. I then went on the web site and found that my car was already showing my new plate so on they went after changing insurance details. A few days later my tax disc arrived.

Don't worry it's taken 4 weeks for mine to come back. Arrived today so picking up new car tomorrow

Just over 2 weeks for mine. Log book arrived Wednesday this week, new tax disc today. Just ordered new plates from Plates For Cars. Great site and even have the right sizes for RRS rear.
