I think you could half your service costs by going to a good indy dealer instead of paying main dealer prices. |

Hi Simon - Point Taken - but most of it was at the Indies - but I always got the annual done by LR and the service cost for Main Dealer Servicing were 3o% more expensive but they collect and deliver the car most times so saved me time away from my business. There are a lot of RRS around now and most people still insist on full LR Service, but of course we know better , the work is only as good as the guy doing the work. |

LR charge a lot of money for parts. Their labour rates are fairly typical for big-name dealerships.

Hi Tony, sometimes I think its down to piece of mind and what people want. a good warranty is always good, again depending on price and service. the main thing is keeping our rrs sweet, looking good and on the road. |

If you had the car since 2006 that is £1600 a year? £135 a month or four quid a day by my reckoning. Not cheap but could be worse. Main dealer servicing also hiked that up; and that is a choice. I once had an S Class that was costing a grand a month at one point it broke so much. We have a Chrysler 300C that has cost probably only a grand or so since it was new in 05. |
