2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Buckingham Blue
Hello from Jays Buckingham Blue 2.7 - MY06

Ok So I have been leaching information from all the clever fellas on hear for far to long without giving anything back so I thought I would change that by introducing my car and some of the work I have done to date. Very Happy

I've had MY06 Bucking Blue 2.7 for about 9 months and apart from the first 3 months of ownership (Where I made 3 warranty claims and had about 2K of work done) I have never been happier with a car.

Here are some photos although I will put some more on when I have had a chance to give her a full clean. These were taken just after I had fitted a new autobiography rear bumper to go with the 2012 lights I fitted a few months ago. Since then I have had the official autobiography tail pipes fitted as well as a new reversing camera in the toweye cover. (Photos to follow)

Next project is to change the front lights to black internal and fit the DRL style ring lights.

Im holding off on this as I cant find the ring lights similar to the ones sparky fitted. I did find them on Amazon from a seller but they are no longer stocking them. If anybody knows where I could get some from you would make me extremely happy!

I may also get the Meduza Autobiography style front bumper at some point but have used genuine parts everywhere else and so a little reluctant on this. The alternative is to get the HST front but then I think that may look odd with the Autobiography rear. Ahh decisions decisions.

Inside I have replaced the navigation screen with a 8.0 Android tab built into the dash and installed a new Bluetooth audio adapter with additional power sockets in the lower glove box. I have also fitted the Rosen DVD system for the kids in the back and you can stream movies from the tablet in the front to the headrests.

So that's it for know I will add more photos shortly and of the inside if any one is interested.

I would not have been able to tackle most of these modifications if it wasn't for all the great posts and information on this site so a big thank you to everyone who contributes with their helpful posts and guides.

Jay

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HST Java Black

I love Buckingham Blue. Thumbs Up

Sadly it was one of the compromises I had to make when looking for a TDV8 HST, there just weren't any about in that colour.

Thanks Guys

Peachys right JasM it soon adds up when you take it all into account. Currently the bumper with all the fittings can be had on Ebay from a breaker for about £600 but the total cost is a lot more one you take into account the lights and wings, painting etc. If I decide to keep the car for longer than a year before I go for a newer one I will probably end up going ahead with it. Very Happy

SPX I agree it was my favourite colour when looking around especially with the Ivory interior. Would trade it in a heart beat for a TDV8 though my one regret when buying was that I didn't test drive both.

Once I have deep cleaned the interior and finished changing the trim to piano black I will add some photos of the interior.
