Hi a couple of questions for everybody, I recently purchased my lovely RRSPORT with lovely Ebony Leather Sts and contrast stitching with the Extended Leather Pack. With 29k on the clock you still get that lovely smell of leather when you get in the lovely cabin. The leather is unmarked however I have noticed a few creases on the driver side outer edge of the seat and I think this is down to RRSPORT not having sidesteps. Do you think having the sidestep will help from this getting worse? Any ideas of getting these creases outs.

I dont think side steps will make much difference....Using access height when getting in and out will do the same job. As for the creases, I'm not sure you can get them out.....They seem to appear through time on every RRS, you can disguise them a little through different products but I doubt you can remove them completely...It is leather after all and leather will crease through wear.  2010 RRS TDV6 3.0 Autobiography - Stornoway Grey

The sidesteps can help prevent side creases so long as everyone uses them. My good lady insists on sliding off the side of the seat - which causes the creasing. I hav mentioned this to her on a number of occasions. This also causes creases as she frowns at me...

Access height doesn't really help those who are short of leg in my experience. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

lol I do use the comfort access but God man made 5ft.10in age has man made 5ft.9in. Yes i educating my lady how to handle her derriere when ejecting herself from the cabin as no crease's on the passenger side for the time being.

Leather is a skin and skin creases with age you can help by cleaning and moisturising as you would your own skin it helps.

"short of leg" myself mate at 5'7 and without access height enabled I find getting in the car awkward, I have sidesteps fitted but like your mrs still slide off the seat getting out With access enabled I have no problems......amazing the difference a few inches can make.....to car height I mean of course.  2010 RRS TDV6 3.0 Autobiography - Stornoway Grey

understand completely mad-dafty, from the sounds of it the side steps do give the required extra few inches us shorty's need even with comfort access. Upon your recommendation I will try and source some mate

Hi all ordered the AB front and rear bumpers from Dan at Duckworths. Just need to sort out a set of sides steps need your valued opinons thought I would go with non oem side steps from what I have read on this site, had a look around on ebay they go from £140 upwards, sites like powerfuluk sell at £220. On ebay some have base made out rubber ie the (Black grip part) for non slip most others are plastic so are powerfuluk . What are the OEM? is it better to go with rubber matting base or just plastic base?
