never done pcb board soldering myself, but i know its not the same as soldering a couple of wires, as you have to be very careful about heating it up too much

I re-soldered one of the those connections on my Sat Nav screen as that had become loose, you need a small tip, a big magnifying glass and a steady hand but it can be done, do not use to much solder, but use a good quality one.
