Think I'm going to go for a custom made one.

Some have gone for car back and they do sound nice. I've heard one where they have just taken the middle box out and left the rest and that sounded nice.

I was thinking to replace just the rear box's from the joint just near the spare wheel. So I can have some nice tailpipes.

I'm trying to not go down the full autobiography conversion.

Daz
i found a guy who specialises in fabricating SS exhausts, he will make what ever you require.
I have had a good chat today, and explained i want something that looks nice, but with a little more exhaust note, just something subtle though.

he wants to take a look first, then what he said he will do is complete the mod, with a veiw to put everything back as standard, i take it for a good run, motorway drive etc if we are happy all good.
if its a goer, and looks/sounds good, he is also willing to do a group discount on modding the TDV8 exhaust, its a bit early to get prices, but i know he is half the price of Merc, who offered to do his clients sports, and ended up saving 50% Thumbs Up
He will also make a complete stainless system for you as well, i must admit when/if mine starts to blow holes, i may go for the complete stainless system.
he offers two types of weld finish, one is mig finish, its ok for the norm, but he also offers stainless tig welding, this finish is superb if you want to show off the underside, im a qualified tig stainless welder from old, so i can appreciate the finish is good.
however if its just for normal use, id say go mig finish.
the tail pipes he has are just pure "porn" , oval square, round, angled round, 2" dia ,2.5". 3" etc etc
ive already made my mind up Thumbs Up on what i will be having.. Wink

Yes of course i will Thumbs Up , i may even do i little write up with some photos, including a video of sound before and after, if i get time.

to be honest im loving the solid quality tail pipes on offer, but reserve judgement on sound.

Hey Paul,

Yeah I've got a guy down the road and also one about 20 miles away.

Powerflow also do the back box system for £220 I think.

I'll just take off the back sections and drive round for a bit lol

Just going back to your original question of what have you done today.......

Today I had a dent man round to take out the nice present that a kind person left on my car over the weekend! Dinner out cost me rather more than expected when on Sunday morning I saw a monster car park dent in the rear quarter, thanks for that! must have been a door mirror as it was really high up.

Massive thanks to Andy Jewell who has now twice saved me from getting seriously Censored off. Panel looks like new and I can't even see where the impact was now.

If anyone on the south coast needs any paintless repairs done I can pass on a very happy recommendation.

Ps. The colour coded door handles are now on and look great so that was a result. TDV8 Java Black, Overfinch 22s
