2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey
Mud Flaps are they worth it?

Considering fitting mud flaps as the sides of the car seem to attract the mud.

Do the mud flaps really protect the sides of the car and if they do how much should they cost?

I am not sure if it is worthwhile and have been quoted £248 by the stealer to fit them when it is in for the first service next month.

Any feedback gratefully received! Thumbs Up 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

I fitted them this time - simple diy job. Managed to get them free due to issues but think they were about £140 supply only Thumbs Up

Car still gets mucky but think it catches some of the mud on the country lanes and hopefully stops stones hitting front of caravan now Confused Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Yes, I have them on my FL2 and it stays considerably cleaner now than it did before I fitted them. They help protect the paintwork from stone chips too.

I am to order a set from Duckworths soon for the RRS. Thumbs Up Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Ive got them too, not sure how much cleaner it makes the vehicle, if any, but with the sport having fat tyres it certaintly likes to lift the spray behind you when you are travelling on any road with surface water. Whistle
Besides, the sport looks better with flaps. Wink

Like Ady, I don't think they will stop the car getting dirty, but they will help and reducing the spray is definitely a good thing IMO.

Also, agree that the RRS looks better with flaps Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
