A bit strange this, my 07 tdv8 loses its autobox about every 20 miles.
you can drive it as hard as you want, full power, motorway overtaking, or as slow as you want, commuting round town, however around the 20 mile mark, if you put your foot down fairly hard, you get a judder through the car, and then around 100 yards later, the dreaded F appears on the display coupled with the "limited Gears, all special programmes off" warning on the dash, a quick stop, switch on and off resets it, and you can floor it again for the next 20 miles................and repeat.
