I have done a search on this but want to know recent thoughts and recommendations

I usually only buy OEM but I have read how good the aftermarket ones are for the cost. I understand you have to buy the ones with pre cut sills. My questions are

1. Are the genuine ones worth the £550 compared to the aftermarket £130-£150
2. Are the after market ones a good/similar fit to the genuine ones
3. Anyone have any supplier recommendations of the aftermarket or genuine ones
4. Due to my car having LR warranty should I just buy the genuine parts to be safe

Question 2... Yes, my dealer fitted mine and couldn't tell the difference between mine and genuine.

Question 4... Fitting none genuine side steps will not effect your warranty.

Ive had mine on 2 years now and they are still good as new, what i would advise though, is make sure you protect the aluminum edge with a few coats of wax otherwise it tends to tarnish quite easily, even on genuine side steps.

I bought some from the same place Ady mentions, but didn't get around to fitting them before I sold my RRS , but I did have the two sets side by side at my local dealer and the parts dept could not tell the difference  ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

The side steps was the only NON genuine fitted accessory that I purchased. I am quite a**l when it comes to using genuine parts but I really couldn't tell the difference.  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Just checked the Ebay seller as I wanted steps for my 2012 RRS HSE Luxury. According to their fitting compatibility chart these steps do not fit a 2012 RRS. Anyone know why? 2015 Range Rover Sport Autobiography Dynamic SDV6

It should fit a 2012 RRS. I have a 2012 RRS and previously had a 2007 RRS and the mounting points & fittings are exactly the same. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography

Hi i too got mine from ebay,, very pleased, i fiited them myself and the only problem i had was that the clips are very cheap and they kept breaking so i went out to buy more from local car parts and job well done, 2006 rrs hse finished off nice,,

bought mine from Barry 4X4 through ebay, absolutely terrible fitment the brackets were bent and I overpaid as well. Bought them before I discovered this forum.

I went to barry 4x4 on the promise they were genuine sidesteps. Got there to find they were aftermarket. Bought aftermarket ones at the end of the day, though not from dishonest barry ! Got mine from supertweaks. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.
DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.
