I have a 09 TDV8 and loving it Very Happy

I am considering getting it chipped.

What are the best options and are there any major drawbacks to worry about?

Hi Mark,

Would recommend JE Engineering in Coventry if you want the job done properly ie remap. Have taken a few land Rovers there in the past and had my 3.6HST remapped a few months ago. Makes a big difference to a great engine, the power is more evenly spread, and the mid range is absolutely awesome. Also averaging a few extra miles per gallon.Have also used Alive Tuning in the past and would recommend. Very Happy Range Rover Sport 3.6tdv8 HST,110XS Puma Defender Double Cab,90XS Defender, 2 Discovery 3s, 3 Discovery TD5s,Defender V8 50 (should have kept!!), Discovery 300, Freelander (big mistake!!), Range Rover Classic 3.9

No not a site sponsor have used them in the past and speaking from experience. Believe some of big lumps (engines)used by Land Rover in the past were designed by JE. Range Rover Sport 3.6tdv8 HST,110XS Puma Defender Double Cab,90XS Defender, 2 Discovery 3s, 3 Discovery TD5s,Defender V8 50 (should have kept!!), Discovery 300, Freelander (big mistake!!), Range Rover Classic 3.9

BAS is a forum sponsor and does a bespoke map that you can remove/replace should you wish/need to. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
