Some questions and concerns with MY2010 RRSPORT

Hi All
Purchased my first RRS MY2010 fully loaded. I'm very impressed with RRS; however I do have some questions and concerns. Hopefully experienced RRS owner can help me out with.

I would like to add the autobiography body kit ASAP, I have found companies such as Muduza that supply and fit aftermarket fibreglass
Kits or powerfuluk that sell aftermarket body kits made from injection moulded plastic like the original body kits. Or leave these alone and go for the original? Any thoughts on this subject would be really appreciated.

I was going to through the service paperwork and found a service sheet from Guy Salmon with a Red, Amber and green system grading system under steering and suspension in amber I found ARC Bushes/Clamps bolts worn. I suspect this work needs to be carried out ASAP.

I test drove a friends RRS and the ride was great could not feel any rough road surfaces or pot holes. In my RRS I seem to feel every bit of rough road surface and pot holes. Is the ride suffering due the ARC Bushes/clamps?

With regards to front parking sensors how do you control them as they seem to not work, however the other day in the underground car park they came on only to blip but nothing on the screen.

Something else I picked up on when slowing down and then picking up speed there is a kick I think it’s possibly from the transmission also at the same time the seat seems to move slightly back.

I am in the process of taking out warranty which is better land rover extended warranty or something like warranty wise?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I can help you with the parking sensor issue.
If you select reverse and maneuver in reverse first, then move forward, the front sensors will be activated for approx 10 seconds if no object is detected, if you want to use your front sensors when approaching an object, then press the "P" button on your dash, this will switch them on. Thumbs Up

Welcome Bow down

My 2010 did not have screen display for parking sensors - only audible Confused

Ride in my 2010 was Censored compared to 2013 I have now - suspension knocked on rough roads but not on this one. Dealer refused to do bushes etc, claiming it was a characteristic Rolling Eyes

Wheel size makes a difference - 19" best, 20" not as good - some fit 22" and I can only imagine how that must feel Shocked

I would go for LR warranty and hope LR customer service would back any problem - keep it simple Thumbs Up

Moving seat common problem but not sure of fix - may be a characteristic Whistle Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

If you are going to fit the AB kits go for the genuine NEW parts - Dan @ Duckworths ( site sponsor ) sorted me the rear bumper at a price that was more than reasonable. Both bumpers are easy to fit if your that way inclined. You can use most parts from your original bumpers Wink sensors - rear reflectors - rear bumper luggage protector trim - the front again the sensors - number plate plinth & fog lights are reusable. If you have mud flaps the rears need replacing. Genuine parts all painted you should be looking at around £2k. Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Why not keep it standard, not been tempted to alter the HST , apart from door handles, but decided its staying as it came out of the factory.

Hi Everybody thankyou for all your input I do really appreciate it. How do get intouch with Dan at Duckworths?
with reference to door handles do you straight colour code them or buy colour coded handle covers or go for skins what the consensus? look forward to the sliding seat issue.
