Scotland 2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Firenze Red
New Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE

Hey, first post here!

Just about to order my 1st RRS. Moving up from a Jaguar XF S Portfolio.

Just wondering about this spec

Auto dimming door mirrors
High beam assist
Meridian 825w surround sound audio system with 19 speakers
Privacy glass
Surround camera system
Off Road Pack
Oxford Perforated Leather - Ebony
Premium metallic - Mariana black
Morzine Cirrus Headlining

What I'm wondering is the High beam assist worth it? And the Off Road Pack? Also thinking about should I or shouldn't I 21" 5 Split spoke Diamond Turned Finish alloy wheels - Style 15.

Thanks

Hi second post here.
I ordered my first RRS AB in July might get it in March, moving on from Audi.

The options I went for are:
Cameras
Auto dimming/heated mirrors
Black wood interior
Privacy Glass
22” Rims
Noble Paddle shifts
Blind spot monitoring and Reverse traffic detection.
Silver and Black exterior

Have a quick search on here for my thread on High Beam Assist. Personally I found it woeful on my AutoB so have disabled it and would recommend no-one speccing it as an extra. Others commented to say they find it very useful and a must have. Sorry that's not all that helpful in giving you a definitive but I just found it too slow to react to oncoming traffic (if it reacted at all) and not quick enough to switch back on after traffic had passed. Also if it didn't react it was a bit of a nuisance having to pull the stalk back twice to deactivate and forward twice again to reactivate - hence I resorted to reversionary mode and switched it off completely through the on board dash menu.

While on the subject of headlights, I have found the adaptive Xenons on my Evoque very useful. They steer with the car and there's an auxiliary light which comes on when, for example, you are turning into a driveway.

One other must-have IMHO is a full-size spare wheel. Mark

I second the opinion High Beam Assist is a waste of money, I have it in our M5 and it's too slow to dip IMO plus it goes back to full beam when I feel cars that are directly in front of you are still too close to be blinding them in their rear view mirror.

With regard to the wheels, I have ordered the style 15's as IMHO, the standard 20" wheels do not look great and I saw them on an HSE this week and they just looked too small on the car.
I definitely agree about full sized spare wheel and I would strongly recommend the 5 year service pack atŁ749, a bargain in my opinion.
I had the 825w meridian system in my Dynamic Evoque and it was awesome, but for the extra money, I found the standard system more than capable, but it's a personal choice.
It's going to be a great car, whatever you go with. Thumbs Up

^I actually like the stock rims which is why I stuck with them though I do reckon it looks best with either the 21" or 22" but my journey from home involved travelling some awful roads which was a bit harsh on the demo I drove wearing 21" so my decision to stick with the 20s. At least their style follows that of the bigger models which helps.

To me music is a bigger sense of enjoyment than briefly looking at my rims for the 5-10s walking up to the car so to me the Meridian system was a must.
