We are thinking of moving back over to the dark side and ordering a Discovery HSE.
Prices for our RRS seem to be all over the place at the moment so how much do you think that it would be worth as a private sale.

It's a June 2010 TDV8 in Santorini Black with Ivory interior and Piano Black trim. It has done exactly 35k miles with full LR Service history and still has 6 months LR Approved Warranty remaining with LR Assist. It has genuine LR Towbar wiring and privacy glass, front/rear and boot rubber mats.

It is in superb condition with no dings, dents or scratches. It has unmarked 5 spoke Supercharged machine cut alloys with just about new Pirelli Scorpion tyres.

We are the second owners, the first being LR and we may only change because we like the new D4.

Probably not wht you are wanting to hear, but i'd say around £36-£38k ish dealer probably offer you £34k ish on a good day.
MSE has just got a new D4 ask him his views on it so far.

I would say that was very generous, may be wrong but would expect a dealer to be selling for about £32000 or so and offering you a quite a bit less than that. Maybe £26-28 but can't see it being much more. Hope I'm wrong for you  MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

If I was going to sell, it would be a private sale so £30-31k is probably not too far from the mark.

When I look through Autotrader, dealers are anywhere from £31-35k for vehicles with higher mileage .

Oh well, I will see what develops in the next week or so to determine whether or not I sell.

Ady, I've got some great winter wheels on at the moment - pity that the weather has been mild so far!

someone mentioned the new D4

Its really growing on me at first I didn't think it had the cool (although I liked it) of my 2013 sport, but now the redesigned front etc, its really nice - looking at it, I think they took the "cool" clues from the outgoing sport and applied it to the disco.

As for RRS value - ive found a good guide is to look at LR 2nd hand car get an average price and take 5k off for a dealer price. then work around that for a private sale...don't know what that would make yours. Mike

2014 Facelift Discovery

Cheers Mike. Can't wait to hear how you are getting on in a few weeks. Sounds like a cracking car and a big improvement on the D3.

Ive got to put some miles on it (I think its done 100 now, 95 by me) but its very much bedding in.

Breaks feel better than the sports ever did, new or otherwise - but we will see...there is probably a little more roll than the sport, but it somehow seems smoother and quiet compared to the sport. I went for 19" wheels because ive had enough of 20's and the lack of everything...I don't underestimate their impact (positive) on the ride etc.

Its an improvement on the D3 and the D4...I don't like the headrests on the 2nd row though - they are always up and are already annoying. Stop Start is a waste of life...its frustrating...taking to stoping when im trying to get onto the drive/garage. VERY annoying. Mike
