as quoted for the Supercharged and NOT for the TDV6 HSE. Are they the 'turning' illumination lights? Can anyone with a S/C have a look underneath their mirrors and see what's there? Martin Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support! |

The turning illumination lights are not these, they look like sidelights that switch on when you turn the wheel, not sure if it is only when the light condition is low though, as I am normally behind the wheel! The only way I know this is because my mum told me one of my lights wasn't working... I tried to explain the technology but it was a losing battle.

On the original spec for the current Range Rover the integrated wing mirror lights were called puddle flood lights.................. but I notice that in RRUK's spec lists those are already listed, so that could be the technical name for them. Some of the very early big Range Rovers had the puddle lamps fitted in the base of the doors rather than in the mirrors (my TD6 SE had them there) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I actually find them to be pretty darn useful, they illuminate the floor right where you step into the car, just as they should, whereas previous pre-L322 Range Rover puddle lights were a bit limp I found, and, only worked once the door was opened, by which time you have had to step in the puddle to open it! I would also be interested as someone at the factory forgot to fit this option to mine and with a narrow garage entrance I am in the same position.

My mirrors don't have the puddle lights fitted. The puddle lights are at the bottom of all four doors and the boot so that you can still see the puddle when you open the door Which I think is actually better. TDV6 - gone

Only one problem with this, if you are approaching the vehicle, you would be standing in the puddle before your puddle light illuminates it. I think the Land Rover designers have missed a trick here, all of our vehicles should have these extra courtesy lights. It is after all a nice little gadget. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass. __________________ Some people accuse me of thinking the world revolves around me, but I'm not stupid . . . These are also handy for not stepping out of your car into a massive pothole when there's no streetlights either. Believe me, I know from experience
