I have driven the SDv8 remapped and its crazy , quicker 50-70 than the 5.0SC , not had mine done, it's good as is in real world 30-50 50-70 etc for overtakes blah blah , the 3.0 you have to plan far more when pushing on with it. 2014 5.0SC AB

A good friend has a 4.4 tdv8 ally FFRR and is getting 28mpg and he drives like a lunatic. I get 24 from the old 3.7. What does the sdv6 do tboner?? SDV8 vogue SE. SDV6 real world 27-31 , yes 4.4 real world 27 - 30 all based on mixed , motorway prolonged sdv6 34 SDV8 36, really see no real world lower fuel consumption. Wife drives the 3.0 90% of the time and she is very steady

Its the laws of physics - unless you use the V8's extra power difference for maximum acceleration then the 'everyday' energy needed is going to be pretty much the same for both cars (rolling resistance and aerodynamic drag) which will translate in similar fuel needs.
