I have Michelin alpin latitudes - had them last year when went looking for snow to have some fun. Have to say they were amazing, give you much more confidence. You still have to be careful but I feel much more in control with them on. 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic, Corris Grey with contrast Santorini Black Panoramic Roof, lunar interior, privacy glass, upgraded Meridian system, cooled 18 way front seats, heated steering wheel, adaptive xenons, large screen wash bottle.

I have used Vredsteins for the last 5 years, here and abroad and swear by them. Got the last two sets from AJS4x4 - good price and service. |

Follow up on my last post - when abroad I kept the Vredsteins on all year with no problem (though a bit sticky over 35 degrees). Has anyone had any issues with insurers through keeping winter tyres on all year? Given the UK summers I don't see any technical issues (and I have read there is no problem with using Vredsteins year-round) but we all know how insurers will try to wriggle out of liability on the most spurious grounds. |

Sounds like a question for your own insurance company Having said that, the operator won't have a clue what you are on about and just say "yes ok, its not a problem". |

As others said above, tyreleader.co.uk indeed has the best prices (for winter tyres at least). For example Pirelli and Vredestein. However, I noticed those tyres have "DOT number" 2011 which means the production date is 20th week of 2011 (ref Pirelli User Guide).
