Check the rod attached to the actuator. They tend to seize up, causing ESF faults.

My MY11 TDV6 is in the garage at the moment with a seized turbo actuator rod. There is a TSB and a LR Kit to 'upgrade' the linkage to prevent seizing (aka a design fault that allows water and road dirt to corrode the original linkage - mine after 3 years and 30k of mostly motorway miles). I understand it is inexpensive so probably worth fitting while it is accessible.
