I've gone to the car to discover one half of the door handle missing. It is on the passenger side and from searching on here I can see that it is a cap plus the colour coded skin/cover. How easy is it for these to fall off or come loose?

I'm wondering if someone has tried to break into the car.

Also does anyone know the LR part number for the cap and the best place to get colour coded covers?

Main stealer will supply colour coded as I needed one when I took delivery. It was FOC so cant give you any more details. Someone may have had one missing and decided to nick yours instead of buying one rather than an attempted break in. Sorry to hear that - Got any pics of what's left - if replaced in the past which if colour coded they would have - they can snap inside & suppose loosen over time - a few company's sell doors skins but usually in 4's. Try site sponsors Hawke they may have singles available. I broke 1 of mine putting it on they sent me another FOC  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Thanks I'll give my local one a call on Monday. No, there is nothing else that is obvious to a break in. Maybe if they are easy to take off then, that is what's happened. Just seems odd as it was parked in a close, so wouldn't be an opportunist thief.

Yes its just a cover that hides the emergency look on the passengers door handle. I take it you have had a look in case it fell off as the door was closed? MY16 AUTOBIOGRAPHY Indus silver with some toys

It would have come with standard grey handles - correct me if I'm wrong but colour coded handles was not an option - might struggle from a dealer - I took 4 old ones off & broke them all - like I said I even broke one putting them on  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Yes, had a look on the drive and also drove to the supermarket (last place I parked) where people must have thought I was a weirdo!!

If its the passenger front you will need to ask for one with the lock symbol on it - also it's the hardest to fit  16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
