Mine are too high aswell, at first I though they were no where near as good on main beam as the old HST, then when I drove under trees, could see the main spots shining way to high, not got brave enough to turn the adjuster screws myself and not worth a trip to dealer just for that... 5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!

The first time I drove mine in the dark, the car in front kept flashing its hazard warning and fog lamps at me. A few seconds of main beam put a stop to that.

I must admit I do not think that the headlights are as good as the ones on the RRS MY12 that I traded in....... |

I traded in an Audi Q5 for my RRS. The Audi also had Xenons, but the lighting on the RRS is far superior to the Audi.

I have also had people flash me when on dipped beam but when you look at the cut off in pitch darkness with the vehicle on level ground it seems reasonably OK.

Feel sorry for oncoming drivers, I can't stand it getting dazzled. Might have to dish out sunglasses to other drivers... |

Don't worry, we're all broke after buying them! |

Ditto to the OP. I keep getting flashed and I have the impression that they are set to high. A tweak downwards might improve things, but as someone else mentioned I thought that they were self levelling, although they don't go though the dance that the X5 did when you turn them on.

I got back a week or so ago having driven to Switzerland and can report that pretty much every other oncoming driver flashes furiously!!

Mine were also set far too high - main beam lighting the tops of trees, embarrassing passing dazzled cars on the motorway, being 'given the finger' by one and flashed at continuously by oncoming traffic.

What were the updates?! Mine was delivered mid October and not noticed any issues - apart from the high headlights when on continent. Sounds like I might need to speak to dealer if there's software updates required as I assume unless they're mandatory safety ones they won;t recall the car. |
