Annoying tar spots

What is the best method to remove those tiny tar spots that get splashed up the front doors of my RRS.
I can hardly see them but can feel them when I rub my hand over the paint work.
I have the supa guard cleaning kit that I had with the vehicle, and have used the those products along with some tar remover. Is this the best method?

Try clay bar. Look at this thread. Once clayed give it a polish and wax. It'll leave your paint work like glass.

Get yourself a couple of products to make light work Thumbs Up

1. Some Autosmart Tardis (can be bought from a rep or on eBay in 500ml bottles, not the way it's supposed to be shipped, but I've never had a problem). Autoglym Tar remover from Halfords will also do the job, but it works out expensive.
2. A clay bar - Meguiars Quick Clay kit from Halfords will be just fine.

- Wash and rinse the car as normal to remove any day to day dirt.
- Stick the Tardis in a Chemical reistant sprayer and spray over the bottom of the door - watch as the tar starts to break down. You can also spray a cloth a wipe over the surface, but spraying directly allows faster results.
- Wipe away the broken down tar and excess product with a microfiber cloth (repeat application and wipe if necessary)
- Quickly rinse the surface you've just treated.
- Now use the clay bar kit to remove any really stubborn contamination - instructions on the box.
- Polish with something like Autoglym SRP and then feel the glass like surface you've made Cool Thumbs Up

NB - IF YOU SUSPECT ANY SORT OF SMART REPAIR, DO NOT APPLY THE TAR REMOVER AS IT WILL REMOVE THE PAINT Wink ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

I have found the best and easiest is WD 40.
Unconventional I know but it works a treat.
Spray on a piece of cloth or kitchen roll and hold on the tar spot for a few seconds and rub away. The WD 40 dissolves the tar quite effectively.
I usually finish with a rub of polish.

Thanks guys,
I have never used a clay bar, what is it? I have had my car Supa Guard protected, will it remove the protection.
I clean my car every week and only ever use the Supa guard products, or on previous cars Pure Guard.

a clay bar is exactly that, usually used with a lubricant. You can buy from Halfords - autoglym

I always polished my supaguarded car with autoglym polish...im now returning to lifeshine, but will still polish it the same. Personally I found the supaguard cleaning stuff pants. Mike

Yeah right Simple1, we all know we buy RRS to look good on the road, not off it. Laughing That is why we are anul about cleaning them.
I did prefer my Pureguard cleaner to the Supaguard, the paint protector was brilliant, put a bit in a bucket water and then sponge on ( I mean wool mit) and rinse off.

On my Fuji i found the best result was bog standard Turtle Wax Insect and Tar remover,
just wash the car as usual, then apply as any other wax/polish, leave for 5 minutes, buff
off with a soft cloth and hey presto a gleaming finish Thumbs Up Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
