Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black
No Dynamic Response On Petrol RRS Except Supercharged

Why since 2010 have Range Rover not offered Dynamic Response on petrol engined Sports except the Supercharged model anywhere in the world.

I was waiting for a 5l V8 normally aspirated RRS in the 2010 year and when they released it it didn't have Dynamic reponse even as an option. Even the basic diesel could have it specified as an option.

So I had to buy a V8 Diesel instead which is more expensive to run just so I could get Dynamic Response (diesel is more expensive here than petrol and by the time you put diesel additive in every time you fill up - it costs at lot more to run). I only get 18l/100Km from my TDV8.

Again with the RRS2 no Dynamic Response for a petrol engined sport except the Supercharged V8 - Why.

Also why did they drop the normally aspirated V8 for a Supercharged V6 - No V8 rumble. Can't believe a Supecharged V6 is cheaper to build than a normally aspirade V8.

Can someone explain LR's marketing strategy here?

Can't explain the lack of DR issue, but I guess the dropping of an engine will be as the result of failure to hit emission target changes, or the more attractive financial gains of using engines that are also being used in other vehicles in their group. 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG
