Never heard of any sat nav issues. It is known to be brilliant. It is so good that it knows how much you enjoy driving your RRS and will automatically take you a longer way for more RRS driving pleasure. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

After having tried to live with the Land Rover sat nav I have gone back to my old Tom Tom. I use sat nav a lot and found the Land Rover sat nav great for taking me to places that I have never seen or wouldn't expect to see on various routes. The built in sat nav is certainly consistent with the off route capabilities of the vehicle. |

Norlan, are you asking for my personal values? Or are you asking the meaning of the initials? Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

Sorry, can't tell you on a public website. I am sure that there are many other usernames which are more interesting. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

I just connect it into the socket in the centre unit in front of the cup holders. One weird thing to watch out for though is that whilst the tom tom is connected if I leave my keyless entry key anywhere near the socket I get an error message saying that the key has not been found and I can't start the car. If I move the key away a bit then all is ok and I can start the car. Alternatively I can disconnect the tom tom, start the car and all will be ok; once the car is started I can reconnect the tom tom and no error message. |

Hi, we have a 62 RR Sport HSE Luxury SDV6 and have experienced similar problems with the route chosen by the RR Sat Nav. On a recent trip back from Sandringham to Birmingham we ran two Sat Navs to check the accuracy of the RRS. One was the RRS and the other a caravan designated Snooper. The latter was the more accurate and saved us around 30 miles on the journey back. There was no logic to the route suggested by the RRS. I need to investigate the settings on the RRS to see if it my fault that it throws up such differences from the Snooper as at the moment I have little confidence in it. After all the car cost me £ 46k and I would have thought Land Rover would have sorted the Sat Nav given the complexity of other electronic systems in the car.[/s] |

i am having all sorts of issues with the media interface generally, such as sat nav issues like you mention, screen going blank. Had several software updates to no avail and now awaiting a new unit which im told will take 3 weeks on back order. The fact the units are not readily availbale suggests to me that there may be a wider problem than just yours and mine. |

I was happy with my 2011 and 2013 sat nav...it was certainly no worse than some (work co-pilot and tom tom for example)

I was using mine today (not for navigation luckily) and it constantly had me in the Moray Firth when driving in Inverness. Not sure why it has lost its position. 2006 Supercharged |
