I was in the dealership last week (getting warranty work done again) and had a good look at all the new 2014 stock they had.

All the vehicles sat outside showed sun damage deterioration of the rubber on the windows and all (inside and outside) showed scratches on the shinny gloss plastic trim.

I think Range Rover have a serious problem here.

DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights.
TO DO: color code sills and pillars.

These days..... these prices....... The amount of competition... you can´t afford to screw up......

Made this point about trims and rubber on the Sport launch they are poor

Trims in black plastic are just naff look like a ford Focus

Yet trims on the L405 are 5 times better ! WHY !! 2014 5.0SC AB

Where I live the sun damages cars very quickly and you have to plan ahead when you go out so that the car does not spend too much time exposed to the elements.
My 2010 TDV8 has spend virtually all its life under cover but yet the rubbers around the windows, the windscreen valence, the lower door plastic and the front and rear exposed plastic are showing signs of sun damage.

Landrover products are supposed to be off road vehicles which can go to the harshest places on the planet and survive. Don't think so with the current material quality.
