Gearbox (Transmission) fault RRS Supefcharged + hand Break

Hi Everyone,

My Range Rover Sport Supercharged ,2005 was checked by computer at a indie mechanic shop and was diagnosed with below errors:
U 0402-94 Unexpected operation
P0730-00 Incorrect gear ratio
P0735-00 Gear 5 incorrect ratio

hand break
C1A43-00 Motor supply Circuit
C1A00-4B Contol Mode

Could you please be so kind and advise what might have caused these issues and what needs to be done to repair them.

Thanks in advance Very Happy

What are the issues with the car?

I imagine an EPB fault, which is likely to be a blown fuse, or wiring issue, for the EPB motor circuit

I would be ignoring the gearbox faults, unless you are having problems with it

Having all of those and more, firstly get your battery and alternator checked. If either of these are in the slightest way defective it will throw all kinds of electronic faults at you.

Good luck !!

Hi

I have been experiencing the very same errors for the last two weeks. Today I took the car to my local Kwikfit and asked them to check the battery and alternator charge/ condition. The meter reading came back as both units being good, however the battery was showing as only 50% charged which was strange.
I asked them to change the battery for a new heavy duty version to see if this sorted the multiple faults, guess what...... No more faults at all !!

The car has returned to running like a train and simply changing the battery has made a huge difference.
Maybe something for you to bear in mind if your still having issues, I really thought I was in for a huge bill at the garage to get all these faults diagnosed and repaired, now after replacing the battery all is good .

Hi Guys,

Thanks a lot for all your suggestions!

Disco_Mikey actually I cannot use the gearbox normally because it goes into safe mode, so ignoring these problems is not really an option.

Jetbags I actually just bought a brand new battery (100Ah 800A ) and I was told it's totally enough for this car.
