EPB question

Merry Xmas to every one hope you all had a great time.
My 2008 hst has started to give a warning message when I turn the ignition on, although the system seems to be working ok. ( I don't normally use it ). Any ideas please.
Cheers
Bob

well the plot thickens.
went out to start it today, ignition on up comes "parking brake fault" started her up, and the brake warning light which is normally red before starting stayed on but yellow. but also the little light symbol, with arrows each side came on as well.
turned engine off, went to restart it, dead as !!!
put jump pack on it and it started fine no warnings at all.
It has since restarted ok after a short run.
Cheers
Bob

Could be numerous reasons but mine for some reason hates the cold weather -- I really don't run it as much as I should - it don't take long with all the electrics on - dark cold mornings - dark cold nights. Have you analysed your recent journeys it could be as simple as that. I've had everything checked twice over but after a good run it kicks over first time every time.I only do about 10 miles a day normally so there is my problem. Well that could be the problem, it has been really cold here the last few mornings, its not been used since xmas eve. think a good run out could be in order.

Could be as simple as not having been run enough to charge the battery or could be early signs that the battery is sick or that the alternator is starting to fail. It's not unknown for TDV8s to need new alternators and yours is probably in the age range for it now. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
