United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Cairns Blue
A Bad Start To Christmas

We were driving home from a friend's birthday meal last night when a Ford Focus drove in to the side of us at a set of lights. It's left a large dent in the driver's door and rear drivers side door before hitting the back wheel and flicking us round. My wife was driving and I was passenger, we're both ok and were both occupants of the focus. The lights were on green and the focus was travelling in the opposite direction and went to turn right at the junction. I've had the car recovered to home and am now waiting for the insurance to come and sort it but won't hear from them til after Boxing Day so have to sit and await them. So frustrating!! There's a likely hood they'll right off my pride and joy! Sad it's bent both doors, the sill, deployed the side airbags and scratched the back wheel, don't know if it's bent any of the running gear!

Could really have done without that on Christmas Eve! 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE- Cairns Blue with 22" Stormers

Bad luck Ross.

I was driving home on Christmas Eve and everyone seemed to be driving like loons. That coupled with the changeable weather and I was looking forward to getting home without incident.

I hope they get you fixed up a bit lively without too much drama.

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Bali Blue

Sorry to hear about your mishap,,,, I know I would be a tad upset if someone rammed the side of mine but basically it's just a piece of tin and can be replaced. Good news that everyone is ok which is the main thing ...... Always remember a car dealer friend of mine telling me that after my son had decided to drive into a tree in his first car.

If I had to choose I would rather be sitting in a Rangie than another car in a prang ! 2010 RRS, TDV8

You're right gogsy, the focus hit the big tin box low down so the floor took the force, in a normal car the impact would have been higher up potentially injuring my wife more.

Just noticed this morning that the rear wheel is bent in a little too! Still waiting for the insurance to ring me but assume that will be tomorrow! 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE- Cairns Blue with 22" Stormers

Well the range rover has been taken away and an Audi A6 dropped in its place! They're going to swap it for a 4x4 when one is available! Think I'll drive my L200 instead, not an Audi fan! 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE- Cairns Blue with 22" Stormers
