Just been reading a thread on caravan forum from D3 owner who just had his glow plugs replaced and blew engine when started

When they stripped it down to look they found a lighter inside - someone dropped it in while working on it and has cost almost £7k to replace - dealer has paid the bill thankfully but unbelievable  Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

So the car went into landrover to have the glow plugs removed today as my local garage who normally work on the car tried to do it but failed and after putting the car back together the car won't run right. Turns out they've drop some into the air intake and ruined the turbo and maybe even the engine. It's gonna be a stressful time ahead and just before Christmas. All I want for Christmas is my car back so we can go on holiday
