The feel good thread.

so can we have a thread of what makes you feel great about your motor.

I would start but i dont pick mine up for a couple of days, however the exitement is hard to to keep in, i cant remember being this exited about a motor since i was a young hadsome lad showing off in my BMW. Laughing

Well hopefully i can add something positive to the subject even though i dont own a rrs yet ! I am looking to get one soon but last week i was getting cold feet after reading some horror stories about reliability but was given some positives by the guys on here. So to be 100% about my forthcoming purchase ( and i know some of you will think i need to be locked up for this ) when i saw a rrs this week i have followed it until it parked up and then asked the drivers what there opinions of their cars were. I did it three times and all three drivers loved their cars and reported no major issues at 20k 35k and 42k ! Two of them had to get their tv retuned or something and that was it ! I will stop my customer satisfaction survey now before i get arrested.

Ok, that i can totally get Rolling with laughter
as i said if you take a quick look on most sites, is because someone is asking for help on a fault, not randomly chatting about how happy they are with there motor. Wink and posts like this makes me feel real good.

Brought mine in Dec 2012 had it few days over a year. Drove it to Amsterdam and back have done this journey few time but none so pleasurable as in my RRS. Even had chance driving in deep snow very impressed. Had the usual few things go wrong. Aside from that one of the most comfortable vehicle I have ever had the pleasure of driving. It has a very defined presence on the road even though mines a 55 plate it still turns heads. Not to mention all the extra room for passenger every one who has sat in it has commented on the leg room. One person has gone as far as saying its like sitting in your own leather arm chair at home but on wheels.

The RRS is like the supermodel girlfriend. When it's going well you're the happiest man alive. She's looks great, she's a pleasure to be around and everyone gives you jealous looks.

When she's having a bad day, you wish you'd gone for plain Jane Smith. Sure, she's no looker and isn't that much fun but you know she'll be there every day no matter what.

And who doesn't want a supermodel? Just for a while? Just because you know the good times will be worth the tantrums and the tears.

There are tantrums and tears but by Jimmy the ride is worth it...! Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

My 2009 Buck Blue RRS was great. Very comfortable, reliable and always had road presence. The 2.7 TDV6 is one of the smoothest and quietest diesels ever. I don't have an RRS now but my driving requirements are different. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6
Gone - 2009 Buckingham Blue RRS 2.7 TDV6
Gone - 2010 Alaska White RRS 5.0 V8 Aspirated
Gone - 2017 Chawton White RRS 5.0 V8 Supercharged
Current - 2010 Java Black RRS 5.0 V8 Aspirated
Current- 2024 RRS P400 SE Dynamic

Range rovers are the best.
best quality money can buy period.

the looks, both inside and outside
the drive and abilities
the materials

Range rovers score very high in the above points, so what else do you need!!??
these cars are doing the job.
no compromise except maybe on your bank account but that is not the point here.

I remember going for a test drive long time ago and we went with my friend's Audi Q7. man I felt so sorry for him went we drove back in his car after the test drive. that Q7 just does not have the same look and feel of the Range Rover Sport.

non RRS owners might say 'outdated interior' or whatever. well No it is not. it is a 4x4 so inside you get sturdy big radio buttons for example. Not this flimsy tiny stuff you find in Merc,Porsche,Audi,BMW. In this respect the mix of luxury and the 'made to do the job' is very very good.

then there are Toyota's. Well they do the job for Toyota owners but what is that design team thinking!! leather coming from Japanese Chicken. flimsy plastic all over the place inside and outside. Even higher fuel consumption compared to the range rovers. Thin sheet metal all over. And then that horn used in the LandCruiser!! did you ever hear that one. LandCruiser owner should be embarrassed when they press the horn because it sounds like the one fitted in the smallest cheapest Hyundai’s.

so for me our cars are happiness from A to Z

5 months and 9000 miles, every time I press that button to start it up I forget about the frankly stupid money I pay for it. Very Happy

I also love the noise when you boot it, the super comfy (heated) seat, the feeling of superiority ( yes I am a snob) and the 17 speaker stereo blasting out AC/DC as I drive home on a Friday night at 69 mph Whistle

F Censored G love it! 2017 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black
2015 3.0 SDV6 HSE Dynamic Indus Silver.
