Hi,

It's a 56 (2007) - previous owner must have been a size!

That's a fairly nasty tear Shocked

I had a slight tear in my drivers seat (straight cut in the side, about 1" long), which was invisibly repaired before I took ownership. As hard as I've tried to look for it, I cannot see the repair! Excellent job! Don't know who the dealer used to do it though, sorry. 2016 VW Golf GTD DSG

been quoted £70 for exact same replacement here in harlow essex from a local guy, apparently that part of the seat is vinyl not leather, the repair will be in leather.

Hi Locust,

£70 would be great - could you post a pic of yours so I could compare.

A local car trimmer quoted me £200 and said he'd need to remove the whole chair then stip the leather off to do the repair!! Seems a bit excessive to me!!

So if you could expand on what your guy said he'd do, then I could feed back to mine and see if he could do the same.

Thanks,
Simon

My car has had a repair to the seat in the same area, indeed the seat had to be removed and stripped to replace the panel. £200 would seem to be a fair price as it is a time consuming process, and the colour has to be matched!.. mine came back as good as new Thumbs Up MY2007 RRS TDV8 Black - tinted glass - side steps- stormer grille - 20" diamond cut alloys - alpaca leather - TV/DVD pack - some blingy chrome bits & bob's
