I have noticed some RRS spares face down - this would make it easier to steal and risk damage when dropped - always winch face up for protection I had the RLD from last RRS and decided to be doubly sure on current even with the new winch design as I am sure the new winch is not as secure as RLD Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW Still hoping for a S2 one day! No, on the RRS2 the spare is where it should be - under the rear load space deck, so loads of ground clearance underneath, not exposed to the elements and nice and secure inside the vehicle!

Well mine is a 61 plate SDV6 - I'd like to know if it was the new one as that makes a mockery of the design - LR should be fitting RLD or RLD style protectors - improving the design admits weakness, why not make the change worthwhile.

Nothing to worry about in Wilmslow. More Range Rovers there than the Range Rover factory. Contrary to what most southerners think, the outer suburbs of Manchester and much of Cheshire is quite nice, and bereft of the proletariat. |
