Same with my13 black. Was getting very annoying. It was badly adjusted tailgate. Fixed by hunters. Suggest you take it back to your dealer |

In the meantime, get a can of silicone spray and spray in the join area where the creaking occurs. You can also use some black electrical tape to make the catch close more tightly. Hope this helps n the interim.... Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

Mine is a be as we'll,strange,I will book it in when I'm next on the mainland but it doesn't seem like the catch it's where the release button is.the silicon spray is not a bad idea but if it stops the dealer won't here it and will say its fine. |

Don't have it on my BE (yet) but my previous RRS developed a creaking noise from the tailgate. Save yourself some time and try this if the noise is coming from the lock area: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post80375.html#80375. Worked perfectly for me. |
