What do people who have installed the 120 smd LED bulbs think of the effectiveness as reversing lights?

I've installed them (sourced direct from China) but frankly I can still see absolutely Jack S Censored t when reversing.

Look very pretty but I was hoping for improved vision. The privacy glass doesn't help. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

I got mine direct from Hong Kong, very cheap and free delivery. Very Happy They give a blue tint but light up the rear well.

Thats my back lights safe and secure. Security screw in place then covered with number plate plastic cap as per Peachy's suggestion. Thumbs Up Very Happy
You could probably get away with just fitting the screw caps as a quick fix for now.

the 120 LED's are very bright, to look at. But, when reversing, they still don't give off enough light. I think its something to do with the height and angle of the driver in relation to the lights, as when outside the car its lit up like a football pitch at night !

security screws - the one that screw in, but not out unless you have tool ?

By the way, I'd be more concerned that they've broken into the back tailgate and done damage there, than about my lights. Easy answer to protect your rear lights, don't fit the upgraded versions ! Keep them standard and no tealeaf will want them ! Lol  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

Prefer RR Vouge S/C but they don't do Orange !

@ Peachy, I have the factory L/R rubber mat and also a non factory sunlight door mat over the top of the rubber mat. (for the dog) Otherwise all you hear is pitter patter when he moves around while driving. Thumbs Up One of these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Enterance-Mat-Wa...680wt_1164

@ Bee, you don't need to break into the boot to steal the rear lights. Shocked The security screws come with their own tool so can be put in and taken out. Wink Not sure how my dealer will get on if he has to ever change a bulb when its in for service. Laughing

Finally got round to fitting my LED reversing lamps the weekend.
Easy job, took me 15 minutes. Much brighter now, worthwhile upgrade.
Many thanks to Steve for the quick delivery. MY13.5 Autobiography, Santorini Black, Privacy Glass. Gone
Driving a milk float for now.
