England 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zermatt Silver
FINALLY...I'm a SuperCharged RRS Owner!!

Guys & Gals,

I'm thrilled to bits...

Finally after a long search I finally today found and bought a 2007 4.2 Supercharged V8 of a beast!!

Yes, originally I was always going to go for a diesel, but having used this magnificent forum, tapped into some minds and had simply the best guy almost to hand for zillions of nuggets of advice, reason and help along the way - Peachy of this forum!! - I'd have never made it...

I cannot thank him enough - even today he answered his phone to help me over the line!!!

Peachy, we made it!! - Thanks man! If you could see the number of PM's we've exchanged recently! Awesome guy as I'm sure most of you know.

So, deposit paid and I'll take delivery this weekend!

Baptism of fire next week, a trip up the M6 from here in Bucks to Cheshire - fingers crossed, but looking forward to the ride!

Most of my previous test drives have been diesels....until today. The sound and growl is absolutely unbelievable... Then there's the power under your right foot!!

The difference between the diesel and the petrol is truly immense!

Yes, I've done my sums regards to mpg etc.... I'd have hated to have always wondered what a SuperCharged was like if I'd have gone for the diesel.

Anyway, insurance and warranty to sort tomorrow...

Anyone reading this with advice for a warranty, it would be gratefully appreciated.

Couple of pics attached... More once I get it.

Thanks again to this forum and it's superb contributors and Peachy!

Simon

United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zermatt Silver

having recently purchased a s/s myself I'm sure you are going to love it as much as I do, I use to have the tdv8 and the difference is remarkable, the down side is the mpg but like me I'm sure you will live with it.

I also agree about your comments about Peachy, he has helped me on numerous occasions with tech things on my s/c, its good to know there are people like that still around Thumbs Up

2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Bali Blue

Well done for getting a 'proper' RR Sport! I can't stand diesels! Range Rovers should only be sold with big petrol engines - in my opinion! Range Rover Sport Autobiography Supercharged. Audi R8 Spyder V10. Audi S8 (D2). Range Rover Classics (x2). Daimler V8 (X308). Mercedes 500SL (R129). Lexus LS 400. Honda Legend (KA7). Mercedes 320E (W124). Mercedes 300E (W124). Fiat 132 2000 (x8). Fiat 127 Special.

Supercharged is the way to go...

Thank GOD I didn't go for a diesel... Nothing against anyone who has one ofcourse, but from the Scotia guy (pre-warrenty inspection) to my local RR specialist, they've all said never go diesal!

Hmmm...wonders why!? Wink

No-one can believe the sound that comes from my SC...love it!
