Hi wondered if anyone can help, this is the first time I have used the forum so hope this format is correct!
My 2007 2.7 RRS developed a whistling noise when the engine is running around 2 weeks ago, which is getting louder and more constant. It is very noticeable at idle and can be heard when driving, their is no loss of power or any warning lights to suggest a fault, the car drives as normal in all respects. No starting problems it really is very odd has anyone ever experienced a similar problem:?

Hi thanks for the quick reply, maybe.

I had a mechanic friend (non LR) have a quick look/listen he thought maybe a drive belt or apparently the alternator has clutch mechanism fitted and he suggested it could be that.

I was hoping to get some feedback/thoughts before I took it into the dealer cold as it were.

I have now booked it in to get checked over anyway so I do hope its nothing major.
