We sort of have an assist on the X5, you don't slam the lid down but instead just push it down and once the lid is about half an inch from the closed position it then closes it's self. Not really of any use, a fully auto one would be far more useful. Don |

07 MY RRS has the power latch feature fitted. Same as the X5.

Having owned Chrysler and Jeep cars in recent years I bet those electric features spend a lot of time in the garage being repaired and/or adjusted. Probably without much success.

I think it's a good idea as it sounds like the bootlid is going to fall off everytime you slam it shut!
