Drivers side of car - Soaked.

Well it don't rain it pours Big Cry noticed the drivers footwell was soaked - followed it back to the rear floor then into the luggage compartment - any ideas - it's at the rear off the luggage compartment then seems to flow to the front of the car predominately against the door entry trim - but drivers side only. If its a new boot rubber - where's the best place - Duckworths ? - any body know the part number & price. When this is fixed I'm afraid it's time for a change Sad

Something I can park without fear off some jealous Censored scratching it - robbing the vents or lights - or spare wheel. Yes I'm still JLR - probably a nice little Ford Focus - with discount - something I can abandon anywhere & not give a Censored about. Big Cry 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Peachy, isn't that a tad overkill, can sympathise entirely, I have times when I could happily burn my bloody land Rovers but I feel stuck with them, a nice mercedes diesel would be the sensible option so why don't we do it Very Happy

I know they make complete sense. I have an S6 that I love, forget diesel/petrol as I would still get in an RR, if you want anonymity with class get a RR Classic for fun, I can leave mine anywhere Very Happy

If I'm honest - absolutely honest - maybe these cars are priced above the average working mans means. I couldn't afford a new RRS - not whilst I have a mortgage - then when I can finally afford one it costs a bomb to run & a packet to keep on the road. I've had mine 3 years - It started with a few little mods & has turned out to be a full blown facelift. With all the other trimmings added along the way. I've enjoyed it & met some cracking folk along the way - most from this Forum - they are a credit to society but the bottomless pit has reached it's bottom. The thought of ripping the RRS apart again to find the Censored leak as pushed me too far. Sorry for the doom & gloom but its true & in my opinion these motors are predominately for people with spare cash. Sad 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Think only two places the water can get in, sunroof drain pipes and the boot rubber. Both are DIY fixes. The early sports it was the boot rubber which was changed on warranty. Sorry to hear your not happy but hang in there cause you'd miss the sport if you sold Thumbs Up MY11 Autobiography supercharged. Santorini Black. Monaco interior. Rear screens. Privacy.

Wales 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

I agree with all of the above, BUT, any/all cars have troubles/problems at some time. My wifes fiesta is now 2 years old and leaks water in rear footwell everytime it rains hard, like heck can I find the reason, and Fords warranty 'excludes ingress of water'after 12 months !

I love 4x4's,and RR is the only choice for me. I like cars with a bit of 'difference' and prestige about them - had Jags,Mercs etc . I'd love a sporty car but the RRS is also so practical, especially after a visit to B&Q !

But even now,i'm seriously considering changing it. In the past, everytime I think like this, I'm stumped with what to get which will serve as both a 'sports and utility' vehicle, but cheaper and more reliable.

So, at present I'm searching ebay for a nice Merc SL AMG and a VAN !!

Two vehicles serve both purposes and with double the insurance,TAX,maintenance, will probably still be cheaper than running a MY05 RRS !!  RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition

Prefer RR Vouge S/C but they don't do Orange !

That's a shame Peachy ! If it is any consolation, your conversion is a true benchmark !

And I agree with you about the Ford Focus, cheap alternative leaving you with lots of spare wonga in the back pocket to spend on other things. I was even chatting with my Dad today about buying a Focus as a cheap run-around. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

Start with the simple things then move to the more complex.

Have you sunroofs and are you sure the drains are not blocked? Have you checked the ac drains aren't blocked and are all the door seals seated properly and making good contact.

Water doesn't flow uphill - so I would work down from points.

If all those are ok - Getting the trim away from the rear windows is simple 5 minutes, fire a hose at it to see if it's that Mike
