so the tailgate arrived today. i think it was Peachy that was wondering if there would be enough space to stick the range rover lettering to it and I can confirm that there is

overall quality is very good. the silver trim is painted plastic and the color matches very well with the autobiography bumper silver trims.

Just how the silver trim weathers is another question.

The grey plastic has a very very smooth finish and I don't think it will take much prep before painting. But I'll take it to Gavin Coombes to get his opinion. He should have it painted ready for the middle of next week, if not sooner.

I think it's gonna look the dogs !

In the pics, just note that I haven't clicked the silver trim into place, so don't worry about the gap there !

Hi im in the process of upgrading my 2007 Range rover sport i went to my local Landrover dealer and purchased the new 2012 Rear tailgate hoping that it would fit on 2007 sport when i took it to my body shop lads they took old one off and we could see that we required new fixing Bracket can you please inform me if you got a new bracket when you purchased your upgraded tailgate from e bay ?

Im in the trade so i got discount £140 but i only got the plastic Moulding and the brushed alminium strip similar to what you got but when we went to try and fit the Tail gate spoiler we realised you need a new bracket which i have asked landrover and they said it might fit but we cant try this yet as bracket is on back order !!!

Did you get new fixing bracket ? or am i right in thinking this will be a aftermarket spoiler that will fit existing bracket ?

I havent fitted it yet but im sure that the 3rd panel is the fixing bracket, I cant check now because all parts are at the body shop.
