I've told my dealer I want them to take my Evoque in P/EX as part of finalising my order/committing to the car. That way, we agree a spec, a price and a trade in. The danger of leaving the trade in until the new car arrives is that they have you over a barrel when it does and can bid down on the P/EX.

Had another test drive today!

I managed to get the dealer to hand over the keys to a brand new RRS with only 37 miles on the clock!

I love the car, the drive and engine was astounding and I forgot how big the car was after a few minutes! Stop/start is great too, the engine turns itself back on as soon as you take your foot off the brake, so there is no hesitation when trying to accelerate from a standstill.

The engine was extremely quiet and road noise was kept to a minimum. I thought my Freelander was quiet!

My salesman even said that he might be able to give me an estimated build date by next week!

I don't like Blue colours in cars, cos of the black parts of them, I think Blue and black don't match, and all cars have black parts.

Very tempted to change my colour from Loire Blue to Ipanema sand with Santorini contrast roof...but the plastic at the bottom of the doors would have to be body coloured. Anyone know how much this would be?

Hi Chris, why don't you do what I did and arrange a factory visit. I was considering going for either ipanema or Nara so I emailed them with my dilemma, they were extremely helpful & arranged for both colours to be waiting outside the VIP centre for me to look at, then was shown around the factory & paint shop ( not the full factory tour ) then as I was still undecided we jumped into their hybrid to go look around the storage areas ( just before they get shipped ), they couldn't of been more helpful, and all for the princely sum of £0.
By the way I've now decided that Havana is the way to go for me  2015 HSE SDV6 Scotia Grey, ebony / lunar, colour coded, deployable steps, TV, sliding pano and a few other bits. Now gone
