Would suggest the hassle of this not worth it, the Landrover stat nav is not the greatest in the world and many find the lack of speed cameras a pain. You will require more than wiring as needs ariel too.

Not sure if its been done here but Disco 3 and freelander 2 forums have loads of info on fitting tom tom or garmin in space left by Landrover and can look like a factory fit with the added bonus of better navigation. Now driving a rather smart looking Van

You would need a Touch screen, Sat nav DVD unit, some MOST cable plus the wiring harness and the plugs to in to all the units, a GPS aerial loads of patience and some one to install it all, plus you will need to get all the items fitted enabled in the cars CCF so the car knows there are fitted.

Its a big task but doable.

Get an aftermarket double DIN headunit, Pioneer or simular, that way you will have sounds,Sat nav, DVD, blutooth etc.... possibly the best and cheapest option for you, Thumbs Up

Something along these lines would do

Too much work involved. You are better off retrofitting an an aftermarket unit. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

Smartphone, windscreen mount, power from the cigar lighter. Simple and effective. Also it's up to date and includes scameras. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
