I just hope it goes to a new home (and my Discovery gets to me on time in December) Mike

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Yep, its a bit of a worry Ady, all the longer term owners are bailing out of RRS. At least MSE is sticking with LR.

I am still wondering whether or not to go back to the last of the old RRS ownership, there are still a few available here as the MY14 has not arrived yet. I have been toying with a Havana coloured one but I have never seen Havana in the flesh and the car has no sunroof ....in Australia.....so not sure. Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

Ady, it happens in cycles. New model which is ridiculously expensive is probably a major factor. There used to be a 20 grand difference between full fat and sport, now there is a pocket full of change. By choice I would have stayed with Sport but circumstances removed that choice. Big Cry 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

Scotland 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 SE Santorini Black

Agree with above, in that most guys on here are bailing out because they keep cars for the usual 2-3 years, but are struggling to find a good alternative, the new sport is very expensive, and there are not that many "all new" cars in the 4x4 segment. I had toyed with changing mine for a last of the old model , but apart from a colour change ,what would I achieve? I will be keeping mine for a while yet, as it has been very reliable and nothing else quite ticks all the boxes for me. I kind of know deep down that if I eventually replace mine it will be with the new sport, or wait and see what the next gen Disco is like (the next freelander/baby disco looks fantastic!!)
Cheers

Great to see Jeremy - smooth process was warmly received from me that's for sure! Thumbs Up

There were a couple of factors to move...but the new sport just doesn't do it for me and what's funny is, for me, the discovery has jumped the sport and is certainly more practical all round when actually the sport had that before.

I would be lying if I didn't say the extra 20k to get the same equivalent spec of my current sport wasn't a factor...it's not just the price but the actual added value, even as a comparison HSE 2013 to HSE dynamic which is the same, is more

Anyway, space left now on the drive waiting for the shiny new disco 2014 to fill it! Mike

The 2014 disco is still a 4 just with a facelift isn't it?

The wife prefers the look of the disco as its bulky and having the 7 seat option it would come in handy but for me it still has a workhorse reputation.

Shame as they are basically the same cars.

What colour combination did you go for?

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

You blokes are not giving me any signs that getting the last of the old shape is a good idea? I am beginning to think that you all think that it's not so smart.....maybe I should look at one that is not Havana? There are lots of white ones but although its a great colour down here, I am not mad on white in the RRS. Not sure which way to go.... Gone - 2008 Stornoway Grey RRS 2.7 TDV6

This is a bit confusing. Are you saying that because others view a vehilce in a certain way you won't purchase it even if you want it? Shocked 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I didnt sell my 13My range rover because the new one came out, it was an old design or anything else.

I would buy a 13MY sport again now - they are great. I just wouldn't buy a 14MY sport Mike

For me, it is a question of timing, yes if I was you I would buy a 2012/13 tomorrow (still some pre registered with zero miles laying about UK dealers with decent discounts) , but I would be looking at keeping my next one for a good few years , meaning trading in in 2018, when it will be worth 3 hats and a balloon.
White would be my colour choice whether old shape or new, think they look Ace!
Before you make your mind up though, take a test drive in the new one , they are pretty good places to be in!!
Cheers
