Changing my steering wheel was my first mod - easy to do - I followed a video from Powerful Uk - hardest part was removing the air bag - I replaced mine with a soft Nappa leather 2009 genuine LR wheel - I had to change the cowling but the rest was a straight swap. I have always liked the look of the new switch packs on the 10MY steering wheels but its never been confirmed that they are compatable with the older models. Only problem was the older air bag is textured where as the steering wheel is smooth - a minor hitch but its never really bothered me. It felt like driving a different motor after I'd finished.

Exchange. Since he lives down south, so exchange was the only option for me. Had to pay additional £50 deposit which will be refunded once i have returned the old wheel to him.

thanks i will try and ring him today as im going to fully go over the rest of my car and clean it, my leather is imaculate but my steering wheel lets the interior down, i like my cars slightly modded, but ultra clean like new even at 7 years old when i seem to get them, i like the one in the 2nd link but with navy stitching to match the buckingham blue. cheers for that info! |
