RR S/C went into limp mode and now EML light on while towing

While towing from Belgium to London yesterday, the engine went into limp mode, I pulled over, checked oil, and it seemed to clear the fault...every time I stopped and started the engine it would go back into limp mode.

When I arrived in the UK, the EML light came on still with restricted performance. I cant see no obvious lose wires, tears or anything wrong!

I have 3 days left on the after market warranty so that's lucky.

Anyone any ideas what may have happened?

p.s I have owned the RR now for 3 months without any problems, do you think towing could have caused the problem? The trailer was a twin axle with a car on it (weight around 1500kg)

OK..all I can offer I what mine did (within 6 months of getting it)

The throttle sensor packed in, causing a limp mode, which initially would not clear, but after 2 hours of an RAC bod poking around it did clear... but by then he'd booked the recovery lorry anyway so I hitched a lift to the dealers where they swapped it and hey presto fault free ever since. RRS gone

glad you sorted yours out without too much trouble. my RRS have been breaking down since August, going into limp mode everytime it does a few miles. still with main dealers garage and they dont know whats wrong with it. in fact I think they have given up as it has not moved for at least a week.
To cap it all on one occasion we broke down on a friday night down the west country so it was arranged that if we could get to their office some 10 plus miles away they would give us a hire car so we got there and got a car about 9pm the guy in the office showed us around the car ,quite quickly as it was chucking it down told us he was aware of the all the scratches on the rear bumper so dont worry have a good trip and so on
well youve probably guessed he had us over I checked my card statement today and £240:00 has been taken by the hire firm for scratches to the bumper . I spoke to somebody from the hire company who then went on to say that if I didnt make the scratches maybe they done it when you parked it up at the land rover main dealers when you swapped cars. I told them that was not possible as they were already there, they then went on to say they knew nothing of the scratches.so I am completly fed up with my RRS situation at the moment

Bloody hell mate sounds like a right nightmare.

I really need ot get mine diagnosed this week, do you think calling the RAC out might be able to diagnose it? might be a cheaper option

It might be a better option for the RAC as I got charged £102 from Land rover for a diagnostic and they found nothing wrong with it so I really dont know . They have had their top technicians on this apparently and they
dont know either. where do we go from here ????
Good luck

Sounds like Enterprise in Bristol. I had a car from them earlier in the year that was reported mark free by agent. A quick check had virtually every panel and wheel marked on sheet so I would protest transaction with credit card. Once you leave car at dealer it is no longer your responsibility 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

It makes you wonder just who you can trust nowadays,If we ever brake down again, actually with the bad luck weve had with our RRS I think its a case of not if but when we brake down again I will leave the RRS where it is and get a cab home.

apparently there are so many sensors on it that when one plays up all sorts of messages come up and limp mode kicks in. this is why they cannot find the problem with mine as the imformation they are getting from the car is sending them off on different fault routes
