If it's on the compressor side there's only on place a broken blade can go which is into the engine.

If you're lucky it's something like some debris partially blocking the inlet tract above C8 and this is messing with the fuelling. More likely is that something has damaged a valve on the way through and this is resulting in the misfire.

Allot of oil has been pushed to the cooler and to the inlet hose up to the air filter box as the shaft on the turbo snapped and locked out could it be the oil into the piston bore caused the con rod to bend . My mechanic is going to takd the injectors out and measure the tdc against to the head to see if there is a differance . |

Carmadd - I see there are still no responses to your post on the US site - I guess the diesels were not sold over there.

Hi all updating news : I have sent the number 8 injector to test and the injector came back with the results of perfect so I took the head off yesterday and soor that all the number 5,6,7 pistons are perfect and that the number 8 piston doesn't go fully up resulting a bent con rod . I have already found a piston/con rod for sale and now going to fit it. |

Well here we go again. I found a piston for the car and today I took the sump out . Everything was good except that I found that the problem was what I said it was , a bent con rod . Now all I will do is put the head back but only the sump at the bottom not the other parts. To make sure that when I start the car everything is fine .

Awesome stuff. No doubt I'm not the only 'armchair expert' who has never tried to tackle a job like that thinking 'oh what about the dynamic balance and the piston rings won't be matched to the bore'. But if it all goes back together and runs nicely what a result that will be!
