BC, I agree it doesn't make much sense for PEACHY to upgrade just for WIFI but if you haven't got a camera already and thinking of getting one, go for the newer model. I got a very good deal from Ian (HIDS4U) via the Disco3 group buy here few weeks ago. However, I think even mine is "obsolete" now as an even newer model (550) is out

Having tested this unit out fully for an hour or so while parked up, i would say the wifi version is an absolute must, if only for the "live view" function on your Iphone, it is a great little bit of kit.
I was able to sit in my house and still view the live feed coming from the camera, which is a bonus !

Unfortunately during the reinstall of this Blackvue unit, the engineer managed to kick the silver trim off from the side step, so now have to find someone with a rivet gun to put the back on again. Incidentally, the engineer did not get to me until 6.30pm as he was stuck all day on his first call of the day, apparently he had drilled straight through some poor water pipes. 2005 Rang Rover Supercharged

I have just ordered a Blackvue 500 wifi model. Can anyone tell me how long the cable is please? I was thinking to run the cable along the headlining to the boot to plug it into the 12v power supply there?! Any thoughts??
