rrs 2.7 tdi egr

currently have 2008 rrs 2.7 with fault code p045c and p0490 relating to egr 'b' fault,which egr needs replacing/or can they be cleaned etc

Blank both off cheapest option by far and preferred choice for most.

Not sure its possible on a 2008 model to blank the egr valves.

I remember reading I think.on this forum some one had come up with a ingenious way of tricking the ecu to thinking egr valves still active and erase the engine management light. Im sure some one will advise further or correct me if I'm wrong
