Recently though I forgot to renew (moved house, so missed the reminder letter). Spoke with the guys that service the car and said that given the age now ('05 plate) the LR warranty isnt worth the paper its written on, as it has so many exclusions. Just taken out a warranty with Warranty Direct

Hi all, I am in negotiations with warranty direct as we speak on cover for my 2006 RRS TDV6 HSE AB.
Have included the exact details of what they are now offerings and the cost. This has come down from nearly £1000according to them. Good deal or not? Worth while or not. The general consensus of opinion is it is worthwhile having this policy but is the price right as they say?

Ok, so I have taken out the policy as shown earlier. Haggled with them and managed to get additional cover section specifically for airbags thrown in and an extra months cover. I don't know if it's the right thing to do or not. I feel better that I have a top level warranty so all I can do now is track the costs that I claim if any on it over the next 13 months and report back if financially it has worked in my favour. 2014 RRS HSE, SVR body kit fitted.

Basically if your car is over a certain age or mileage ( usually 6 years or 60k miles) they will expect you to contribute a certain percentage towards the parts cost. I managed to get this removed for an additional £50. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography
