Wanting to swap over plates from my outgoing D2 to the RRS...... Filled in relevant paperwork and the V62 since I don't yet have the V5!!!! They've only gone and sent it all back today saying I need to fill in V62!!!!! Grrrrrr look at the back of the pack of paperwork and its there....... Fookin idiots!!!!

Dealer tends to do the switch after the cars bought and new v5 issued for that reason.

Yes at least 1 month before the plates on...depends on all the forms. I cant recall how they have done it, but they handle it for me so i dont have to. See if its the same this time. Mike

I am in the same situation, in the end I opted to go down the retention route while waiting for the V5 to come back in my name. Been waiting two months so far......still nothing! |

They are making a point - you used to go to your local DVLA office and within a week all done but the Gov't is closing them to save money so this is their protest/payback

4 weeks total put plate on retention wait for new V5 send off and new log book and transfer done to new mtr Now driving a rather smart looking Van |
