Welcome to the madhouse You need to be parked to use the Sat nav input screen. Build sheet - not something I`ve ever looked for - try the search function on the top banner this may throw up some results. Bonnet catch - had the same issue used a very small amount of releasing / lubricating agent - Ok ever since.

I will have a look at the catch tonight. On another note when I hit the lock button it sounds the horn, is that normal can I stop/change this?

Normally happens if something isn't closed properly - bonnet perchance? Either of the boots? |

Yes if something is open - in this case your bonnet thinks it is open (Hood ajar switch). But it isn't the horn it's the "battery backed -up sounder". It's a Land Rover 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE |

Hi Looking to take the plunge and buy my first rrs, have seen a sweet 2006 black HSE colour coded and fully loaded 2.7tdv6. Have heard loads about the unreliability but the cars look the business so going to go from my V8 Audi S4 to a range, any advice would be much appreciated, what should I watch out for? The one I'm going to see has had 4 previous owners, full service history mostly main dealer then 2 at local specialist BUT the current owner did day it has had a new engine supplied and fitted by land rover at 50k. This was due to injector failure and payed for by the insurance company, it's done 88,000 but the engine has done less as its new. Should I be worried and should I avoid. Current owner has had the car for his wife for 3 years and seams to be a middle class working professional, but I'm always weary buying private.

If it's had the engine replaced, then I'd be smiling. As long as everything works a s it should, then no reason to worry I would say. Bodsys Brake Bible

Cheers, I was hoping for better fuel economy than my s4 but, I think it will be worth taking the plunge. Anything else I should look out for? Read so man reviews and its slightly confusing, is it worth getting a warranty? Are these available from main deler on older cars? |
